The Fivay Falcons football season should be pretty good according to Bryan Hair  The team has worked hard all summer waking up early grinding in the weight room. Not only are they great role models but they also work hard on keeping the team focused.

“I think we are going to do good this year because we have a really good team overall and they all do what they are supposed to do to get the job done.” Hair said “We have a really good chance at making it to districts with our amazing coaching staff here at Fivay. They’ve had a huge impact on this team. We also have a good group of kids.”

Districts is the goal for the Football team but it will all come down to how well it plays this season. Players really believe the coaching staff will play a big role in how their season will turn out.

He also says “We have a good coaching staff and an advantage because we have a coach for each position so it helps our players learn what they are supposed to do to get better throughout the year.” Austin Branford said.

He is looking forward to  going against Land O’ Lakes, and Wesley Chapel this season. It’s marked on his calendar as a bit of revenge for how they beat Fivay last year.

“If we put our minds to it we can make it to districts because we have a really good team made up of a lot of Juniors and Seniors,” Branford said.

For some seniors, it’s an exciting but bittersweet time. Elijah Colon is in his final year and the goal is to reach districts in his final season in a Fivay uniform. He’s looking forward to taking on Gaither and especially Hudson. For Colon though, districts isn’t the only prize he is eyeing with this team.

“I am very excited for this year because it’s my senior year and my last year before I go off to college,” he said. I think we have the ability to make it to states because we have a great team with a great coaching staff.”
