Cakes and cupcakes are close to the same thing. Although most people seem to have different opinions about them they are really similar. Cupcakes are smaller and have frosting on top. Cakes are much bigger and have more icing. They have the same ingredients and overall the only big difference is their size.

In an article called “Why Cupcakes Will Never Replace My Birthday Cake” the author said “One big, towering cake covered with frosting, sprinkles, and candles just elicits a way more special feeling than an array of cupcakes.

The way that having a cake makes you feel is amazing. The fact that someone put a lot of effort into making it. The layers of frosting and the way it’s decorated with all the details are made just for you.

Cakes are better than cupcakes because they are bigger, and you can pick how big you want your slice to be. Cupcakes are just small and the frosting is only on the top. On the other hand, cakes have frosting all throughout to even out the flavor. Another reason why cakes are better is that there are so many different kinds of cakes. There is angel food cake, carrot cake, red velvet cake, chiffon cake, and so on.

Even though cupcakes are just a smaller version of cakes, they still taste different. Some people say that cakes taste more moist but cupcakes are dry. On top of that there are so many ways to decorate a cake and so many different flavors.

Cupcakes are pretty basic, including vanilla and chocolate flavor with frosting on top. They are both good, but cake reigns superior than cupcakes.
