The Fivay Highschool boys soccer season is starting up soon. The team kicks off the first game against
Sunlake this Thursday the 7th. Players are excited. Hunter Lauer (‘20), Anel Aljic (‘20),
and Anthony Cirillo (‘20) are excited to jump onto the field. The boys are pumped to have new
experiences, reach new goals, and most importantly, make new memories.

“I was very excited when I heard I made the team. I think we have a lot to offer this year and I
can’t wait for people to see our potential.” Lauer said.

The boys have a great feeling for this new season. They can all agree that the team have great
attitudes and skills and are all very appreciative of their coach, Coach Frick. Some of the boys
that came from Ridgewood Highschool are new to the team but feel welcomed from their
supportive coach and boys that have played for Fivay before.

“It’s hard coming from another school because you’re worried if people like you or not but that’s
not how I feel on this team. Everyone is pretty friendly and have good sportsmanship, especially
Coach Frick. Even though I met him this year, I feel like we’ll have a good year” Aljic said.

Anthony Cirillo is looking forward to their game thursday. Along with the rest of the team, Cirillo
believes the team can break some records, personal or not. He has a lot of experience when it
comes to soccer, something that is needed for this rigorous sport.

“I’ve been playing soccer for a while. I genuinely love the sport so I feel like it comes naturally
for me, that’s why I think this upcoming game will be pretty interesting. As long as we give it our
all and try our best that’s all that matters.” Cirillo said.
