Varsity basketball goes to playoffs against Gulf
The Fivay Girls’ Varsity basketball team has a home playoff game vs. Gulf today at 6:30pm. Their head coach, Coach Love, feels that the girls have put in a lot of hard work and dedication, and have some good odds at winning.
“I am preparing my girls for this district game by making them work hard everyday and trying to be the best version of themselves. We scheduled games last week to work on some particular things and I think it has worked well for us,” Love said.
The coach is very excited knowing his girls are having their first district game and is looking forward to how things are gonna go.
“We played gulf which has struggled this year but it’s always challenging having to beat a team 3 times. We can’t look past anyone. We just need to focus and take it one game at a time,”Love said.
Coach has been preparing his team for districts for the whole season now, all he can do is hope for good and be there for his team and support them.
“I think if individually we work on being our best version of ourselves than collectively we can beat anyone anywhere,” Love said. “We just have to slow down and understand we might make some mistakes but just work through it, play hard and play for each other and we will be fine but i’ll be there to support them through whatever.”
The girls’ varsity basketball team has been preparing the whole season with Coach Love. All the girls can do on that court Tuesday is try their hardest and put those months of preparing and practicing to good use and hope for the best. Go Fivay Falcons.
